Who is Trust Your Move for?

Trust Your Move is for UK removals firms, storage firms and firms that do both. When you sign up you choose Self-storage, Removals or Removals and storage, and the menus show only what that kind of firm uses. Removals and storage share one client record and one invoice run.

Can I switch parts of Trust Your Move off?

Yes. Nine modules can be switched on or off per firm, including removals, leads, surveys, crew, job sheets, estimates and storage. Switched-off modules disappear from the menus and public pages. You can also turn job pipeline stages off, rename them and recolour them.

How does the free trial work?

The free trial lasts 14 days. It is a preview of the full product with caps: 10 removal jobs created a month, 20 estimates sent a month, 25 units, 2 office users and 3 vehicles. Offline surveys and live payments through your own gateway start on Starter. When the trial ends your account is read-only for up to 30 days, then suspended, unless you choose a plan.

What is included in each plan?

Starter is £39 a month, Pro £89 and Enterprise £149, all plus VAT. Every plan includes storage, removals jobs, estimates, surveys, job sheets and the client portal. Starter adds offline surveys and daily vehicle checks, with unlimited jobs and estimates. Pro adds the API, webhooks, lead provider feeds, job costing, the dispatch board, custom domain and custom roles. Enterprise removes the limits on units, users and vehicles and adds priority support.

Can surveyors work without a phone signal?

Yes, on Starter and above. A survey is a web page you use in the phone browser. Drafts and photos are kept on the device while there is no signal and sync when the phone is back online. It is not a downloadable app, and offline surveys are not part of the free trial.

Which lead providers can send enquiries to Trust Your Move?

Reallymoving leads have their own reader. Pinlocal, Compare My Move, Getamover, TriGlobal and your own website can send leads as JSON to a private address you create, and Trust Your Move accepts them if they can. Provider feeds are on Pro and Enterprise. Every plan has a hosted enquiry page and an embeddable form. Forwarding provider emails is not supported.

How do customers accept an estimate and sign?

Customers open a private link, read the estimate, accept it with a drawn or typed signature and confirm the cooling-off wording. Both sides get a signed PDF with a SHA-256 hash, and the acceptance record is sealed in the database. The default wording follows the Consumer Contracts Regulations and you can edit it. It has not had a solicitor review, so take your own advice.

How do I take payments from customers?

Each firm connects its own account with Stripe, GoCardless, PayPal, Square or SumUp, so money goes to you. Stripe and GoCardless support recurring payments and direct debit. The others take one-off payments. Staff can also record bank transfer, cash and card terminal payments. Trust Your Move charges no per-booking fee, only the monthly plan.

Does Trust Your Move handle VAT and Making Tax Digital?

Invoices carry VAT by line, and the VAT report shows outputs by rate for any period with the invoices behind each figure. You can export a CSV sales ledger or an MTD JSON file for bridging software or your accountant. Trust Your Move keeps digital VAT records and can prepare the nine-box return for your review. Direct submission to HMRC is rolling out, subject to HMRC approval of the software and a connection to your own HMRC account. Income Tax quarterly updates are being prepared, but HMRC is not currently issuing production access for new quarterly-update software for 2026-27. The Xero, QuickBooks and Sage links are CSV files, not live connections.

Who can see what inside my firm?

Eighteen starting roles are included: Owner, Admin, Office, Manager, Estimator, Sales, Planner, Accounts, Receptionist, Fleet Manager, Surveyor, Read-only for the office, and Foreman, Crew, Driver, Porter, Storeman and Cleaner for the field. Surveyors see only their assigned records, and crew see only their job sheets and never see money. Pro and Enterprise add named custom roles and data scope. Sensitive actions such as revealing an access code are recorded in the audit log.

How does Trust Your Move handle UK GDPR and my data?

Each client has a subject access export as JSON and an erasure action that anonymises their record. Erasure is blocked while they have live bookings, unpaid invoices, open abandoned-goods cases, open estimates or open jobs. Invoices are kept unchanged for six years. You can export invoices, payments, movements and reports as CSV.

Is there an API for my own website or systems?

Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Scoped keys read inventory, availability, bookings and invoices, and can create booking holds. Leads and jobs are read-only, and there is no way to create them through the API. Signed webhooks report bookings, invoices, units, access codes, new leads and job stage changes, with retries.
